What to Wear: Family Photos
Picking outfits for family photos can feel daunting! But it doesn’t have to be! I have a few tips when planning outfits that can help you put:
Start with Mom - This is my number one tip, and arguably the most important. Let’s be honest, Mom booked the photographer, picked out colors, and picked which pictures get hung up in the living room. No one cares about these pictures more than Mom. So let’s make sure Mom feels confident! Once Mom’s outfit is picked out, everyone can match her.
Look Around Your House - What color are your walls? What color is your decor? These photos are meant to be hung in your home, so making your outfits look cohesive with your house makes sense!
Prints can be your friend! - The key word is can! Too much and the photos can look busy, but the threshold is higher than most people think! I would avoid putting people in the same prints, and instead, mix and match. One small print, one or two simple prints, and then add in basics!
Don’t feel pressured to buy all new things! Take a look in the closet first, you might be surprised how quickly things come together.
But there are no right and wrongs to your photos, they are YOURS! So make sure you love the style and they will be beautiful!
